Beer is known for making rich and creamy lather, and has many skin benefits too. The hops in beer contain skin softening amino acids which help soothe irritation. Vitamin B and other essential vitamins moisturize the skin. The brewer's yeast has antibacterial properties, which can help fight acne.
Clays are used in skincare because they are very effective at drawing impurities out of the skin. Clay is naturally detoxifying. It pulls out toxins, bacteria, viruses and fungi, aiding the health of your skin. In general, clays have been found to boost collagen production in the skin due to the high levels of silica as well.
Colloidal Oatmeal creates a barrier against the skin when used in skincare products. The hydrated granules of oatmeal adhere to the surface of the skin, attract humidity and reducing friction. This ingredient is great for sensitive or irritated skin.
